Advanced Internal Medicine Senior Residency Programme

The NUHS Advanced Internal Medicine Senior Residency Programme is a two-year comprehensive programme that aims to build on the experience and competencies gained during the basic internal medicine residency years.

Its goal is to equip its graduates with skills and knowledge to provide excellent evidence-based medical care for adult patients admitted into the hospital or seen in the clinic for multiple medical conditions or undifferentiated symptoms or signs.

The two-year programme consists of 18 months of training in general internal medicine and 6 months of elective rotations.

Elective rotations can include any of the following: cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, haematology, infectious diseases, medical oncology, MICU, neurology, palliative medicine, psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine, renal medicine, respiratory medicine or rheumatology.

As an Academic Medical Center and thanks to its strong collaboration with NUS, NUHS offers its residents exposure to top faculty, cutting edge clinical care and numerous opportunities for research. Our programme allows development of the broad expertise that is necessary to provide holistic and comprehensive patient care in general internal medicine.
