More than 600 residents joined us at the inaugural NUHS Pharmacy Health Carnival at Taman Jurong Community Club on 13 September.
Centred on the theme “Your Medicine Matters”, the carnival brought pharmacy care closer to the community through health talks, games and interactive booths, where residents picked up practical tips to better understand and manage their medicines.
Our pharmacists also provided medication reviews to help residents check that they were taking the right medicines, at the right dose, and using them safely.
A key highlight was the launch of PillPix, an AI-powered platform developed to help pharmacists make medication information easier for patients and caregivers to understand. With just a photo of a patient’s medicines, PillPix generates a personalised leaflet with medication images and clear dosage instructions in four languages.
We were delighted to be joined by Mr Shawn Huang, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Manpower, and Adviser to West Coast-Jurong West GRC Grassroots Organisations, together with our NUHS leaders, pharmacists and community partners, including the People’s Association and Taman Jurong Active Ageing Committee.
