We celebrated Nurses’ Day as a cluster on 22 July 2026 with more than 1,200 nurses from across our NUHS institutions, along with nursing alumni, pioneers, nursing students and friends from the NUS nursing faculty.
This year’s theme, “Our Future of Nursing – Shaping 2030 and Beyond”, highlights how nurses at NUHS are shaping the future of healthcare through new roles, new capabilities and innovative models of care and new ways of working. These ideas came to life through an inspiring Nursing Showcase at the event, where attendees gained insights into the evolving roles of nurses and the impact they are making in shaping the future of healthcare.
The theme was also brought to life through a vibrant skit, song and dance performance titled "Nurses Leading Tomorrow, Today", presented by more than 30 talented nurses. The performance filled the theatre with energy, laughter and cheers, spotlighting the evolving nursing profession.
We were honoured to welcome Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information and Ministry of Health, as our Guest-of-Honour. We were also privileged to have with us Mr Tan Chong Meng, Chairman of the NUHS Board, and Professor Yeoh Khay Guan, Chief Executive of NUHS, at the event.
The event also celebrated over 140 NUHS Nightingale Award recipients, two Joycelyn Khoo Award recipients, and two NUHS Student Nightingale Award recipients.
Most importantly, it was a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as OneNUHS to celebrate and honour the dedication, compassion and professionalism of our nurses.
