Corporate Events, Our Healthcare Professionals, Staff Outreach
On 24 July 2025, over 1,000 nurses from across our NUHS institutions, along with alumni, pioneers, sponsored nurses, and nursing students, gathered for a festive celebration at the NUHS Tower Block, to celebrate Nurses Day. Themed “The Scrubs Club, Nurses Edition”, the entire NUHS Tower Block lobby was transformed into vibrant zones featuring performances by our very own nurses, unique musical genres and even a sing-along finale.
The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour, Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, as well as Mr Tan Chong Meng, Chairman, NUHS Board and Prof Yeoh Khay Guan, Chief Executive of NUHS.
Through an exhibition, we showcased how our nurses are delivering safer, more efficient and more personalised care, supported by technology, elevated responsibilities, and care models designed to meet the evolving and increasingly complex needs of patients and the healthcare system.
The event also honoured 134 NUHS Nightingale Award recipients and two Joycelyn Khoo Award recipients for their outstanding contributions to the profession. Additionally, for the first time, we also unveiled a new Student Nightingale Award, which was awarded to one outstanding sponsored university nursing student who exemplifies both academic excellence and community spirit.
