To me, being a nurse means, going beyond ourselves, to improve patients' lives through quality, compassion and patient-centredness, treating them with passion and care.
Nursing is a demanding yet noble profession, where satisfaction is achieved through professional and excellent care that meets the needs of patients.
I love being a nurse for many reasons, mostly because it has brought me into the lives of people I wouldn't have met if I weren't a nurse. Whenever a patient recognises and talks to me outside of work, or introduces me to their family by saying, "She helps take care of me", it gives me the drive and makes me proud because as a nurse, nothing is more gratifying than being there for my patients.
I strongly believe that my role as a nurse makes a difference and giving my best at work brings me immense satisfaction and joy. I am proud to share that my team members have the same belief as me and we work hard together as one Team - one Respect - one Integrity - one Compassion, one Excellence and one Patient-Centredness to provide incredible care.
