Dr Lee Chia Ching is an Associate Consultant in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS). He obtained his medical degree in 2014, and completed specialist training in Radiation Oncology with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) in 2024. During his training, he pursued a clinical fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr Lee’s clinical practice covers the full spectrum of radiation oncology, with a focus on thoracic, genitourinary, and neuro-oncological malignancies. He has a keen interest in advancing multidisciplinary cancer care, integrating molecular diagnostics and novel systemic therapies with radiotherapy to improve outcomes. He is also committed to enhancing supportive care, helping patients better navigate the acute and late treatment-related toxicities through their journey.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Lee is actively involved in research, education, and patient advocacy. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, presented at international conferences, and contributes to scientific committees and collaborative research initiatives. He is passionate about teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and junior doctors. He also works closely with patient advocacy groups to incorporate patients’ perspectives into care delivery and research.
Dr Lee believes that every patient’s cancer journey is unique, and care should be tailored not only to their disease, but also to their values, preferences, and life goals. His long-term vision is to shape the future of cancer care through impactful research collaborations, education, and patient-centred innovations.
