Dr Yang obtained her medical degree (MBBS) and Masters of Medicine from the National University of Singapore and the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom [MRCP (UK)]. She received her training in Endocrinology at National University Hospital, Singapore. She then completed a thyroid cancer fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, United States, where she was involved in clinical research and clinical work pertaining to thyroid nodule and thyroid cancer.
Her interests are in the evaluation of patients with thyroid nodules, and the treatment and surveillance of thyroid cancer patients. She is involved in molecular studies for the evaluation of patients with thyroid nodules, and re-differentiation therapy for radioactive iodine-refractory thyroid cancer patients.
