Dr Qian Qi is a Consultant Surgeon in the Division of Adult Cardiac Surgery, Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS).
In 2009, Dr Qian Qi graduated with Bachelor of Engineering with 1st class honor from National University Singapore. He was awarded as Gold Medal for his undergraduate study. In 2013, he completed his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program from Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore. He started his cardiothoracic residency program training in National University Hospital in 2014. He was conferred the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh during his residency training and awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinbugh in 2021 after completion of his residency training. In 2021, Dr Qian was accredited by the Specialists Accreditation Board as a specialist in Cardiothoracic Surgery by Ministry of Health of Singapore after completing his residency programme.
