Dr Olivia Leow graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2014. She underwent her residency training in Paediatrics in the National University Health System from 2014 to 2020 and achieved her specialist accreditation. During her residency, she was awarded the Wong Hock Boon Gold Medal for the Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) in May 2017 for her performance in the clinical examination. She was also actively involved in leadership roles, including being a Level Representative during her junior residency years and subsequently Assistant Chief Resident in her time as a senior resident. She was nominated for the NUHS Residency Leadership Development Program from which she graduated in 2019 after having gleaned valuable lessons on teamwork, communication and servant leadership.

Dr Olivia is currently a Consultant with the Division of Paediatric Infectious Diseases at Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children's Medical Institute. She strives to improve patient care both on a personal, as well as, hospital level by being involved in projects to improve quality of care delivered for various paediatric conditions.

Having been taught by excellent teachers and mentors throughout her medical school and residency training, she enjoys paying it forward by teaching medical students and was awarded the National University of Singapore Medical Faculty's Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence in 2019.

She also takes joy in participating in medical missions. The experience of doctoring in resource-limited settings and meeting people of different cultures and backgrounds has taught her to appreciate the gift of practising medicine on a different level.
