Dr Rajeev Ramachandran graduated with
MBBS in 1996 and further obtained his paediatric postgraduate qualifications in
1999 from the University of Calicut, India. He completed paediatric residency
training at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), USA, and is
certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is also a Fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr Ramachandran has received several
academic awards during his training in India and USA. He has attended several
national and international conferences and has presented on various topics. He
has also published many articles.
Dr Ramachandran has completed advanced
specialist training and received his paediatric specialist accreditation in
Singapore. His specialty interests include general paediatrics and eating
disorders in adolescents. Dr Ramachandran also partakes in undergraduate and
postgraduate paediatric teaching and family medicine resident training.
He is currently practising
as a Senior Consultant in the Division of General Ambulatory Paediatrics &
Adolescent Medicine, Department of Paediatrics, National University Hospital.
He is also an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine,
National University of Singapore. He is in the Faculty for NUHS Paediatric
residency programme and Family Medicine residency programme. Dr Ramachandran is
the site director at NUH for the NHG-Family Medicine residency programme. His
professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics, Singapore
Paediatric Society and Academy of Eating Disorders.
