Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) – The Basic and Consolidation

CO-OP (The Basic)
For Occupational therapists who have no prior experience in CO-OP, CO-OP is an evidence-based treatment approach that has been researched extensively with many client populations, including developmental coordination disorder (DCD), stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), cerebral palsy (CP) and autism.

By joining this workshop, you will learn the 7 key features of CO-OP Approach. Therapists who have knowledge of the CO-OP approach will be able to efficiently utilise cognitive strategies to improve motor performance and functional skills in their patients, thus performing patient-centred practice and improve patient care and satisfaction.

CO-OP (Consolidation)
The Consolidation, taken only AFTER the Basic, builds on the knowledge and practice competencies gained in the Basic course, so participants can apply CO-OP in their practice context at a competent level.

For the Basic, participants can only apply CO-OP in an evidence-based manner at a beginner level.
