Critical Conversation in Ultrasonography

For effective healthcare to occur, critical information must be accurately communicated with patients and between team members. Poor communication compromises healthcare delivery and has the potential of adversely affecting patient outcomes. Poor communication also has a negative impact on team work and has been identified as one off the major stressors for healthcare practitioners.

The workshop examines the concept of patient advocacy in the context of effective communication and explore the challenges confronted by diagnostic radiographers and radiation therapists in the clinical setting.
