NUHS@Home enjoys the same subsidies (i.e. Medisave and MediShield) and insurance coverage as in-hospital treatment.

How much will NUHS@Home cost?

NUHS@Home is supported by Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH). Patients who are enrolled into the NUHS@Home programme are considered hospital patients. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can use government subsidies like MediSave, MediShield, and MediFund as well as personal insurance to offset their medical bills.

Note:

  1. Transferring patients will follow their in-patient ward class from the hospital.
  2. Where patients are admitted directly from Emergency Department / Specialist Outpatient Clinic /or the community, the default ward is Class C.
  3. Charges quoted for private patients are inclusive of 9% GST.
  4. Actual charges may differ for Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Resident Foreigners and Non-Residents. Please verify your ward charges with NUHS@Home staff prior to admission.
  5. Charges shown for Ward B2 and C are calculated based on the patient receiving the maximum government subsidy with GST being absorbed by the hospital.
  6. Charges shown are only daily charges and DO NOT include other fees such as daily treatment fee (DTF), procedures, medication, laboratory tests, x-rays, etc.
  7. Residents staying in Wards B1 and below will receive government subsidies, including those for daily charges, DTF, as well as charges for medication, laboratory tests, x-rays, procedures etc.
  8. Information is correct at time of print (1 July 2024) and subject to revision without notice.

NUHS@Home FAQs

What would I need to prepare before the support team from NUHS@Home arrives?
There is no need to prepare anything. Our nurses and doctors will arrive with the necessary equipment and things required for your time here at NUHS@Home. We will also have a WhatsApp group set up for you to keep in contact with the team taking care of you.
Do I need a caregiver/family member present throughout the duration of my stay?
To be eligible for NUHS@Home, you will need at least a caregiver or family member present. This is to ensure the safety of the patient in any case of emergency. 
What happens in case of an emergency?
In case of an emergency, dial 995 for immediate assistance.
