Biosketch

I completed my nephrology (renal medicine) training in the UK in 2011, and have held consultant level appointments at university hospitals in the UK. I have experience and expertise in the gamut of renal diseases and presentations. These include management of chronic kidney disease, chronic kidney disease with high risk of progression, advanced kidney care and preparation for end-stage kidney disease including dialysis and transplantation. I have a subspeciality interest in kidney diseases associated with paraproteinemia (such as multiple myeloma and monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance.

I have a PhD awarded by the University of Birmingham, where I investigated the role of immunoglobulin light chains in kidney disease. Alongside my clinical work, I have also undertaken research with a strong translational focus. I have been a Principal Investigator on numerous multicentre clinical trials, including non-commercial, commercial and interventional studies.

I have held a number of leadership roles in healthcare, delivering high quality care through a systems based approach to quality improvement.
