Dr Jann Adriel Chua Sy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (summa cum laude) from the University of the Philippines Diliman, where he was awarded the prestigious Oblation Scholarship, which provided a full-ride undergraduate education. He then pursued post-graduate medical education and graduated from Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore in 2017 with the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. He subsequently completed his Paediatric Residency training at the National University Hospital (NUH) in 2024, attaining his Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) from the National University of Singapore and Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH, UK) in 2021. In 2024, he achieved Specialist Accreditation in Paediatric Medicine and commenced Advanced Specialist Training in Paediatric Haematology-Oncology, which he is expected to complete in 2026.
Dr Sy is currently an Associate Consultant in the Division of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology, Department of Paediatrics, Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children’s Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI), NUH. His clinical expertise spans the management of childhood leukaemia, lymphoma, solid tumours, histiocytic disorders, and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), with special interests in cellular therapy, HSCT and histiocytic disorders.
An active contributor to clinical research and regional collaborations, Dr Sy has presented at international conferences including TANDEM, the Viva-Asia Bone Marrow Transplant Spring School, and the Asian Histiocytic Disorder Collaborative Group. He serves as the St. Jude Global Pacific Alternate Delegate for NUH, working to improve childhood cancer care capacity across the Asia-Pacific region.
