Dr James Ho is an Associate Consultant within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital (NUH). He has a special interest in advanced endoscopy.
Dr James Ho read Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, entering youngest of his cohort. Whilst at Edinburgh Medical school, he was awarded several book prizes, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2015. Thereafter, he practiced as a junior doctor in Scotland, obtaining full UK General Medical Council (GMC) registration prior to returning to Singapore.
Dr James Ho completed Internal Medicine Junior Residency training at NUH, during which he recieved the Residency Excellence Award. In 2020, he was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Physician of Edinbugh. Thereafter, he pursued specialist training within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at NUH, achieving accreditation as a Gastroenterology and Hepatology specialist by the Specialty Accreditation Board (SAB) of Singapore in 2023.
Dr James Ho is committed to providing holistic, comprehensive and personalised medical care to all of his patients. He is also a passionate educator, and has been conferred a teaching excellence award. He strongly believes in the importance of nurturing the next generation of doctors, and currently serves as Core Faculty of the Internal Medicine Junior Residency program at NUH.
