Dr. Hari Kumar is currently an Associate Consultant with the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery at National University Hospital, Singapore. He completed his MBBS at Madras Medical College in 2010, then pursued his interest in Thoracic Surgery under guidance of Professor Rajan Santosham at Santosham Chest Hospital, Chennai , India.
In 2014 he was recruited by MOHH to Singapore & subsequently selected for Residency at NUH CTVS in 2016. He passed the fellowship exam for Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery & obtained FRCSEd (CTh) in 2024. He also passed the Membership & Fellowship exams (MEBCTS & FEBCTS Thoracic Surgery) with European Board of Cardio Thoracic Surgery (EBCTS) endorsed by European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) & European Association for Cardio Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) in 2024.
Dr. Hari Kumar is a passionate surgeon focusing on patient centred outcomes with a strong thirst for innovation in Cardiothoracic surgery. His love for nature developed a strong sense of spreading knowledge through photography, at his free time spending time at nature parks in Singapore teaching general public & kids about birds & creatures that are usually missed by our naked eyes, through his zoom lens, with a belief that will help future generation to understand, preserve & conserve nature.
