Biosketch

A/Prof Siau Chiang obtained his MBBS and MMed (Anaesthesiology) from the National University of Singapore in 1994 and 1999 respectively. In 2003, he was awarded the A*STAR National Science Scholarships International Fellowship (Category II B). He trained at the Centre for Research on Pain,McGillUniversity,Montreal,Canada; where he was involved in developing pain models and embarked on behavioral testing, immunohistochemical and imaging research projects. He is part of the Core faculty in NUHS Anaesthesia Residency Program.

A/Prof Siau has also a keen interest in the promotion of simulation as a training and evaluation tool in healthcare education. He is actively involved in the development and implementation of simulation-based training programmes for both medical and nursing undergraduate and postgraduates, interprofessional and patient safety education, simulation faculty development and debriefing courses.
