Dr Lydia Wong graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2008. She obtained her Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) and was admitted into the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2012. She achieved Specialist Accreditation for Paediatric Medicine in 2018.
Dr Wong's special interest is Paediatric Allergy. Her niche areas are food allergy and immunotherapy – in particular shellfish allergy, allergic rhinitis and use of patch tests in allergy diagnosis. She is also a keen researcher in the field of food allergy and shellfish allergy.
Dr Wong is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
She was the principal investigator in a cohort study on the natural history of shellfish allergy and a co-investigator in the inaugural oral immunotherapy trial in Singapore. Together with Professor Lee Bee Wah, she has written an invited review on tropomyosin, the major allergen in shellfish.
