Dr Eugene Tan is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He specialises in heart rhythm disorders and management, including simple and complex ablations, pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation therapy.
After graduating from Monash University with Honours, Dr Eugene obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 2014. Since then, he completed his Cardiology training at the National University Heart Centre Singapore in 2019 where he served as Chief Cardiac Senior Resident.
Dr Eugene was subsequently awarded the Ministry of Health Learning Development Award, and completed his fellowship in advanced Electrophysiology and Pacing at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, an internationally renowned, quaternary premier academic centre specialising in complex heart rhythm management and ablations.
His research interests are in the fields of atrial fibrillation and cardiac pacing therapy, and he is currently pursuing a PhD in cardiac pacing at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Dr Eugene is also a Junior Academic Fellow and an Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
