Dr Chionh is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Endocrinology, University Medicine Cluster, National University Hospital (NUH) and Asst. Professor, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She has served as the Clinical Services Director for Endocrinology and as Director of the Diabetes Clinic, and remains active in promoting improvement of patient care as Chair of the Clinical Directors’ Committee and as Associate Chairman, Medical Board (Quality and Patient Safety), NUH.
Dr Chionh obtained her medical qualifications from University College Cork, National University of Ireland; the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh; and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She trained in Endocrinology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia. She is currently serving as the President of the Osteoporosis Society (Singapore), as a member of the International Osteoporosis Foundation Asia-Pacific Regional Advisory Committee and the ISCD Asia-Pacific Committee. She has also previously served as the President of the Endocrine and Metabolic Society, Singapore, and as Chair of the Chapter of Endocrinologists, College of Physicians, Academy of Singapore. Dr Chionh is active in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and is a member of the Residency Advisory Committee for Endocrinology. Dr Chionh is also the Associate Chairman of the Medical Board (Quality and Patient Safety) in National University Hospital.
