Dr Chiong Yee Keow graduated with MBBS at the National University of Singapore and was trained in paediatrics in Singapore in 2012. She attained her Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics from NUS and Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2015. She is a fully registered Paediatric Specialist with Singapore Medical Council since July 2019. With a keen interest in population health for families and children, she obtained a Masters in Public Health from Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health in 2022.
In her residency years, Dr Chiong served as the Chief Resident where she was in charge of residents rotating through Paediatric Medicine, and has been privileged to be selected for the NUH Resident Leadership Development Programme and Singapore Chief Residency Programme.
Dr Chiong is the inaugural Director of the Division of Community Family and Child Health at the National University Centre for Women and Children (NUWoC). The Division was set up to delve in upstream population health initiatives for families and children in the NUHS cluster. Her team collaborates with both international and local stakeholders, including government agencies to bridge the gap between the tertiary hospital, primary care, and the community. She also represented Singapore as an ASEAN Youth Fellow in 2023.
Her clinical interests are wide and varied, which include acute medicine, community and preventive paediatric medicine and global health, and Southeast Asia. She is also involved in community work, with special interest in improving social inequality amongst the less privileged in Singapore.
