Dr Alfred Yip graduated from the University of Melbourne with degrees in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) in 2013. He subsequently completed his medical internship in Melbourne, Victoria before moving to Singapore for further training in 2015. He obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2017 and completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2019. During his residency, he was also appointed associate chief resident overseeing medical education for house officers.
He subsequently completed his Cardiology specialty training with the National University Heart Centre Singapore in 2023. He is currently pursuing his subspecialty training in the field of Electrophysiology, which includes cardiac arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices. He also has an interest in medical education, and holds an appointment as clinical lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in NUS.
