Ms Margaret Lee is Chief Executive Officer of Alexandra Hospital. She began her career as a critical care nurse and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. Before her current appointment, she held appointments as Alexandra Hospital’s Chief Nurse, Chief Culture Officer, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Margaret has been pivotal in shaping Alexandra Hospital’s identity as a learning and innovative organisation. She embedded the WE CARE philosophy and Alex Creed to foster psychological safety and empathy, led the hospital’s workforce transformation strategy and introduced agile operating models to accelerate organisational learning and staff wellbeing. As AH’s inaugural Chief Nurse, she charted the Future of Alex Nursing roadmap to advance nursing practice and integrated care models.

Her contributions to patient-centred transformation and workforce resilience have earned her the President’s Award for Nurses and Public Administration Medals.
