Mrs Mildred Tan is the Chair of Singapore University of Social Science (SUSS) Board of Trustees and Chair of Singapore Totalisator Board (Tote Board). She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Singapore Business Federation. She sits on the Boards of Philanthropy Asia Alliance, National University Health System (NUHS), Wing Tai Holdings, AIA (Singapore), OceanX Education, Inc and Global Future Council on Innovative Financing for Climate and Nature, World Economic Forum.
Lastly, she sits on the Council of Presidential Advisers as a Full Member.
Mrs Tan was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2007, the Public Service Star in 2014 and the Meritorious Service Medal in 2025 for outstanding contributions by the Singapore Government. She was a Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore from 2009 to 2011.
