Held on 15 July 2022, the inaugural NUHS Value-Based Healthcare Symposium paved the way for the Value Driven Outcomes (VDO) movement within the cluster. More than 250 healthcare professionals attended the event, where local and international experts shared how they adopted VDO for different medical conditions. As part of the symposium, there was also an exhibition to showcase projects that have utilised the VDO concept to optimise patient outcomes and experience, while rationalising costs.
The symposium kick-started with an opening speech by Prof Yeoh Khay Guan, Chief Executive, NUHS and was graced by A/Prof Kenneth Mak, Director of Medical Services, Ministry of Health as the Guest-of-Honour.
