Healthier SG Kick-Off with NUHS

Corporate Events, Our Healthcare Professionals

On 24 June 2023, the Primary Care Partnerships team led by Dr Richard Hui, organised “Healthier SG Kick-off with NUHS!” – A networking event held at the NUSSU Kent Ridge Guild House.

The aim of the event was to foster relationships and collaboration amongst stakeholders in the western region of Singapore such as GPs, community and social care partners, government agencies’ representatives as well as NUHS institution leaders.

Ms Joanne Yap, Executive Director for the NUHS Regional Health System Office delivered an inspiring opening address, and A/Prof Thomas Loh, Group Chairman, Medical Board, NUHS shared his insights about how NUHS can facilitate anchoring care in the community to improve population health as the regional health manager. They both emphasised the importance of partnerships and encouraged stakeholders to work together to achieve the common goal of creating a healthier Singapore.

This was followed by presentations on the various NUHS Cluster Support programmes and initiatives, as well as a lively panel discussion that covered a wide range of subjects such as community programmes and specialist support for Healthier SG, allowing participants to learn more about the service offerings provided by the Cluster.
