Seed Funding for Young Clinician Scientists
Some of the most innovative work of our research teams — work that now receives strong grant support from agencies such as the National Medical Research Council and the National Research Foundation — began with seed investments from private philanthropy. As such, philanthropy provides valuable seed money to support young clinician scientists in the discovery of new research ideas that can be translated into more effective ways to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases.
