Infectious Diseases Community Pilot Programme

The Infectious Diseases Community Pilot (IDCP) Programme was developed by NUH's Division of Infectious Diseases following engagement with ILTC partners. Areas of unmet needs in infection control and the management of infectious diseases in the ILTC setting are first identified, following which appropriate modules will be selected based on partners' needs and after gap analysis. This can include:

  • Antimicrobial management
  • Infection control (including policy and SOP reviews)
  • OPAT service deployment
  • Management of infectious diseases
  • Vaccination programmes
  • Education of staff

Through this programme, NUHS aims to support and build the capability of our ILTC partners in enhancing infection control and the management of infectious diseases in the community, with the eventual goals of improving patient care and quality of life, achieving right-siting of care and reducing overall healthcare system costs.
