We snapped these pictures in NUHS' first Healthier SG community engagement session held at E2i in the Devan Nair Institution on Thursday, 22 August 2022. More than 200 residents from the western region of Singapore participated in the session.
Opened by Mr Chua Song Khim, Deputy Chief Executive, NUHS, and graced by Ms Rahayu Mahzam, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Health, the event collected valuable feedback from the residents in the western region of Singapore on various topics including how to co-create a healthy inclusive community system, which will shape the way how Singaporeans can take steps towards better health.
As part of an overall framework and long-term strategy to transform our healthcare system to focus on keeping individuals healthy, the Healthier SG initiative has a focus on preventive care and early intervention, while continuing to provide appropriate care to those with existing needs. Getting the community involved in the Healthier SG initiative will improve our chances of achieving success through co-creating a healthy and inclusive community system.
Healthier SG will enable all Singaporeans to:
• Know your chosen family doctor / GP who will provide care for them
• Know what preventive steps to take to improve their health
• Know what steps to take for better health and well-being at any time
