More than 200 residents from the western region of Singapore participated in NUHS’ first Healthier SG community engagement session on Thursday, 22 August 2022 at E2i in the Devan Nair Institution.
Healthier SG is a long-term strategy to transform our healthcare system to focus on keeping individuals healthy, driving preventive health and early intervention, while continuing to provide appropriate care to those with existing needs.
Healthier SG will enable all Singaporeans to:
• Know your chosen family doctor / GP who will provide care for them
• Know what preventive steps to take to improve their health
• Know what steps to take for better health and well-being at any time
The event was opened by Mr Chua Song Khim, Deputy Chief Executive, NUHS, and graced by Ms Rahayu Mahzam, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Health. The residents provided valuable feedback on various topics including how to co-create a healthy inclusive community system, which will shape the way how Singaporeans can take steps towards better health.
