Dr Toh Kong Leong graduated from the National University of Singapore with Honours in 1989. He underwent basic specialty training in Internal Medicine from 1992 to 1994 and subsequently advanced specialty training in General Medicine in Singapore. From 1997 to 2002, he undertook doctoral studies at the University of Utah, USA, graduating with a Ph. D. in Human Genetics in 2002. He has been a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, since his return to Singapore in 2002. He currently works as a Senior Consultant in the General Medicine wards in NUH. He has participated in the Genetics of Psoriasis project conducted under the auspices of the Genome Institute of Singapore from 2003 to 2008.
