Assistant Professor Lim Shir Lynn is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS). She graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2006 and obtained MRCP (UK) and MMed (Int Med) in 2010. She completed her specialist training in Cardiology in 2013 and spent a year at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne on her subspecialty fellowship in Cardiac Intensive Care. She obtained her Masters in Clinical Investigation (MCI) from NUS in 2016.
Assistant Professor Lim's research interest lies in acute cardiovascular conditions, aligned with her sub-specialty of cardiac critical care. Her research studies focus mainly on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock and cardiorenal syndrome. She was the founding director of the Clinical Trials Unit in NUHCS, leading the unit from 2019 to 2024. She currently leads Platform 2 of the Cardiovascular Disease National Collaborative Enterprise (CADENCE), which focuses on early-phase mechanistic clinical trials. She is a member of the Pan-Asian Resuscitation Outcomes Study (PAROS) as well as National Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) Workgroup, working to improve the care and outcomes of cardiac arrest patients in Singapore and the region. She is also an Associate Editor for Resuscitation.
