Biosketch

Dr Lim is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist with a special interest in the management of patients with heart rhythm disorders.

He graduated from the University of Glasgow and obtained a first class honours for his BSc and medical degree. He was rank first in the UK national recruitment process and undertook his cardiology training in various prestigious hospitals in London, where he worked with world renowned experts. He undertook his cardiac electrophysiology training in Bart’s Heart Centre, one of the largest cardiovascular units in Europe and spent time in Great Ormond Street Hospital performing ablations and implanting devices in children.

On completion of specialist training, Dr Lim was appointed consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University hospital and was one of the youngest electrophysiologist in the UK. He worked alongside 2 other electrophysiologist and help transformed the service making it the fastest growing EP centre in the country performing close to 900 ablations per annum. After 3.5 years in post, he returned to Singapore in 2024.

Dr Lim is a European Heart Rhythm Association certified electrophysiology specialist and he performs simple and complex catheter ablations using the latest technologies. He is also a specialist in implanting all types of cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and resynchronisation therapy. 

Dr Lim strongly believes in placing his patients at the heart of his approach. He takes time to explain all test and treatment proposed and discusses all alternative options ensuring patients are fully informed and involved in all aspects of their care.
