Dr Lesley- Ann Goh is a Senior Consultant practising in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. She completed her undergraduate medical training at the National University of Singapore in 1990. Subsequently, she obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, UK and Master of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology from the National University of Singapore in 1998.
Dr Goh’s main areas of interests are in musculoskeletal imaging and interventions, and breast imaging. She did a sub-specialty fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging and interventions in the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, UK in 2002, and utilises advanced techniques in ultrasound and MRI in managing musculoskeletal cases. She has more than 15 years of experience in image guided interventional procedures of the spine and extremities, and performs a wide range of musculoskeletal procedures, including vertebroplasty, kypholplasty and cervical spine injections. Her professional work has received attention from the media, and she has been interviewed on several occasions on her work.
Dr Goh has dedicated part of her professional career to teaching and is actively involved in undergraduate and radiology education. She has given numerous talks and instructed in many courses and workshops on musculoskeletal radiology and musculoskeletal interventional radiology. She was awarded the Young Radiologist Award 2000 by the Singapore Radiological Society for her research in musculoskeletal ultrasound and continues to be involved in research, publishing in both local and international journals. She is passionate about patient care and has received several service excellence awards. She encourages the same passion for excellent patient care in her department. This was recognised in 2011 with a Service Quality award for excellent service to the Radiology department from the hospital.
In addition to her professional training, Dr Goh is also involved in various internal and external committees. She currently chairs the Radiation Safety Committee in NTFGH.
