Dr Lai Ye Choung graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2005. He was awarded a sponsorship by the National Dental Centre of Singapore in 2008 for his Orthodontics residency training at NUS.
He graduated with a Master of Dental Surgery (Orthodontics) and obtained a Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2011. He obtained his fellowship with the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2014 and is registered as a Dental Specialist in Orthodontics with the Singapore Dental Council.
Dr Lai currently practises as an Orthodontist at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He treats children and adults with various types of malocclusion and is proficient in the use of functional appliances and conventional fixed appliances. He also uses Invisalign® and Insignia™ (customised fixed appliance) in his clinical practice. He has a strong interest in the use of Adjunctive Orthodontics (sectional fixed appliance) to aid restorative dentist in placement of dental prosthesis.
