Dr Aishworiya Ramkumar graduated from the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2009 with various Dean’s List awards. She subsequently obtained her postgraduate qualifications in Paediatrics in 2012 and has been on the Singapore Medical Council Specialist Register of Paediatricians since 2016. She completed a fellowship training in Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the prestigious UC Davis Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (MIND) institute USA, in 2022.
Dr Ramkumar is currently a consultant at Child Development Unit (CDU), Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children's Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI), National University Hospital (NUH).
Dr Ramkumar’s clinical interests include autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disorders and she is committed to serving this group of children. In addition, she is actively involved in clinical research in the field having completed a Masters in Clinical Investigation under the National Research Foundation-Ministry of Health Research Scholarship. Her research interests include improving outcomes of children with autism, screen time and social-emotional development in children. She has published her work in several peer-reviewed journals and is passionate about doing research that translates into clinical improvements.
Dr Ramkumar is also a member of the Paediatric Ethics and Advocacy Centre (PEACe) in NUH and is actively involved in the teaching and training of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate paediatric trainees.
