Community Health Screening in Queenstown

Community & Public Outreach

Some Indian residents in Queenstown and devotees of the Sri Muneeswaran Temple took part in a community health screening organised by the NUHS Regional Health System team and mosAIC. A first to be held in the temple, the health screening targeted Queenstown residents of Indian ethnicity, who are aged 40 and above, and did not do any health screening in the past two to three years. It followed a recent health survey of the Queenstown community which noted that the Indian residents are more predisposed to high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes and obesity compared to other ethnicities. Regular health screening allows chronic diseases to be detected early which can result in better outcomes and lower the risk of complications. Wishing our Queenstown residents good health!
