14 October 2022 - NUHS joins in celebrating the international Allied Health Day for the first time as a cluster, with 700 local Allied Health and Pharmacy professionals across our institutions at Gardens by the Bay.
With the formation of the NUHS Allied Health Council in July 2021, the Council worked towards creating a collective Allied Health and Pharmacy identity with the tagline "Diverse in Calling, United in Purpose". The council also harnessed the strengths of the diverse spectrum of 23 Allied Health services in our health system to better deliver care to our patients.
Mr Chua Song Khim, Deputy Chief Executive, NUHS and Adj A/Prof Michael Ong, Group Director, Allied Health, NUHS opened the ceremony by highlighting the importance of allied health. Both of them thanked the allied health professionals for the hard work and dedication in innovating and adapting to new methods of service delivery during the pandemic.
In recognition of their achievements, the new NUHS Cluster Allied Health Awards was introduced. A total of 56 winners were recognised in three award categories - Excellence, Young Achiever and Commendation. Download the winners' listing and learn what motivates them.
