Biosketch

Dr Katherine Lun graduated with honours from the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland). She went on to complete her Ophthalmology specialist training at the National University Hospital (NUH). During her residency training years, she was Chief Resident from 2016 to 2017, and was enrolled into the Residency Leadership Development Programme in 2017. She currently holds a Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Ophthalmology). She practises comprehensive ophthalmology with subspecialty interests in glaucoma and ultrasound biomicroscopy. Dr Lun performs cataract surgery routinely and is trained in the use of femtosecond-laser assisted cataract surgery.

Dr Lun has published multiple scientific papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented in both local and international conferences. She was a recipient of the NCSP-R award in 2015 and was the winner of the Senior Category for Poster Presentation in DOORs research symposium in 2019.

Dr Lun is active in medical student and resident training. She is a clinical educator with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and is also the Assistant Programme Director for the NUH Ophthalmology Residency Programme. 

Dr Lun is an active member of the Singapore Society of Ophthalmology – Young Ophthalmologists Chapter, and is also a member of the College Of Ophthalmologists (Singapore), Glaucoma Sub-committee.
