The objective of this programme is to nurture promising young clinicians by supporting them with seed funding and training funds to embark on their research.
Through mentoring and multi-faceted support system, this programme aims to provide junior clinicians the necessary foundation and conducive milieu to pursue a research career via the NUHS Clinician Scientist track, eventually groomed to clinch external competitive grants including the NMRC Clinician Scientist Award and Transition Award.
The Grant Funding is $15,000 and this grant is open to Residents, Registrars and Medical Officers in NUHS.
Application Criteria
- Applicant must be a Resident, Registrar or Medical Officer with a primary appointment at NUHS.
- Project must be completed within 1 year of grant approval and may be considered for an additional one or two-year renewal on a case-by-case basis.
- Research topic must not have been published in whole or part previously.
- Applicant must submit the project with a mentor from NUHS.
- Proposal submitted with the relevant ethics approval will be given higher ranking.
