On the 3rd and 4th February 2020, NUHS played host to some 200 participants, including more than 70 international delegates from 16 countries, over two days as they convened for the Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity Initiative Workshop by the United States National Academy of Medicine (NAM). Global experts and thought leaders from the fields of biological and behavioral sciences, medicine, health care, public health, engineering, technology, economics, and policy-making shared their insights and perspectives on potential solutions to address the multi-dimensional needs of ageing populations.

The Workshop was spearheaded by an International Commission appointed by NAM, in partnership with the Ministry of Health’s Office for Healthcare Transformation (MOHT), NUHS, the National University of Singapore (NUS), and the National Research Foundation (NRF). Following the workshop discussions, the International Commission will put forward actionable recommendations to spur innovation and guide other policymakers, the private sector and stakeholders globally.
