Introduction

At the National University Health System, we focus on translating research findings into impactful outcomes for the patient. This creates a dynamic and exciting environment that actively encourages clinicians, basic science and clinical researchers to work closely together. This collaborative framework means diseases common in Singapore and Asia are targeted, improving prevention by early diagnosis and strategies to either retard or reverse the consequences.

The NUHS' research focus includes Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes and Obesity, Neurocognition and Infectious Diseases.

To date, the National University Health System has won several major research grants, including the S$25million Translational and Clinical Research Flagship programmes on the study of gastric cancer as well as metabolic diseases.
