This call is to provide bridging funds for researchers who are facing difficulties in securing funds for the continuation of their research. This funding helps to tie-over for up to one year. They are expected to have secured funding from major funding bodies upon that.
Funding Information
There are 2 components to this Bridging fund:
1. Manpower component - to be primarily used to support an existing research staff that the PI may lose due to lack of funds.
2. Materials & Consumables component - capped at $20k (and approved on a case-by-case basis).
This grant will be for a funding period for 1 year. No IRC will be provided.
Eligibility Criteria
The criteria for the fund is as follows:
• This grant is open to SoM and NUH staff
• Applicant must be a holder of grants as a Principal Investigator
• Evidence of excellent research output in top tier publications
• More than 3 years with NUS or NUH (if applicable) and with a good track record
• Staff that falls within these categories are not eligible to apply:
- Applicants who have received the Bridging Funds previously
- Staff whose contracts are not renewed
- Visiting staff members

Please submit the following documents: 1 original hardcopy to NUHS Research Office and email 1 softcopy to Grant_RO@nuhs.edu.sg (Attn: De Qing/Ruth) by 12 noon, 27 Apr 2012 , Friday.
