Influenza A(H1N1-2009)

In line with the Ministry of Health's (MOH) guidelines, we have implemented the following visitor policy:

  • Only 2 visitors per patient at one time
  • NO children under 12 will be allowed in Intensive Care Units / High Dependency Units.
  • NO visitors are allowed in the Emergency Medicine Department (EMD). At EMD, child patients can be accompanied by 1 caregiver.
  • Visiting hours are strictly from 12pm - 8pm (daily)
  • Visitors who are unwell are advised not to visit patients.

Members of the public who develop influenza-like illness (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose) are advised to visit the PPC or polyclinic for initial assessment and treatment. Patients may be referred to the hospital for further management depending on the severity of their illness and other risk factors.

We are working closely with the MOH to review and step up measures where appropriate.
