Dr Ho is a specialist in Occupational medicine.  She obtained her MBBS and MSc (occupational Medicine) from the National University of Singapore, and is a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She was the former Director and is currently working part-time, holding the post of the Senior Consultant at the Occupational Safety and Health Specialist Department of the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore.  


An occupational physician by training, Dr Ho provides consultation and advice to a group of OSH specialists in the investigations of complex accidents and work-related diseases and ill health, development of surveillance monitoring systems and occupational health standards in Singapore.  She also supervises the Advanced Specialty Trainee on Occupational Medicine.


She is part of the core team in developing the new workplace safety and health (WSH) framework in 2006, which resulted in the enactment of the Workplace Safety and Health Act.  She also oversees the development of the paper on “Improving workplace health management in Singapore” which outlines the approaches and strategies Singapore can take to address the unique challenges posed by workplace health hazards. 


She serves on various international and national – level committees.  Internationally, she represents Singapore as the centre Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Occupational Health, overseeing the development and enhancements of research projects under the WHO Global plan of Action on Workers Health.  She is also a member of the SAC (Singlas Technical Committee on Chemical & Biological Testing).
