A five-year residency training program in anatomical pathology is provided by the department of Pathology under the direction of a program director. The department offers a comprehensive training program that will prepare for a successful career in private, community based or academic pathology. Training will be largely based on apprenticeship and mentorship under personal supervision by the consultant. There is graded assumption of responsibility as the resident progresses in his / her training. Additional structured training will include a balanced combination of didactic lectures, courses, seminars, conferences, tutorials and research activity.
We encourage and foster a friendly learning environment of active discussion, independent thinking and self-learning with the hope of developing and producing the most competent diagnostic consultants that can work effectively as both leaders or team members.
