Dr Diana Lim obtained her basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2001. During her undergraduate years, she was placed on the dean’s list for four years, and obtained several awards including the Lee Kuan Yew gold medal. After completing her housemanship, she underwent postgraduate training in pathology at National University Hospital from 2003 to 2008. In 2008, she obtained the FRCPath (UK) and FRCPA. She is currently an Consultant at the Department of Pathology, National University Health System, and Clinical Tutor, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Her subspecialty interest lies in gynaecological pathology. She has ongoing research collaborations with the Department of Gynaecology (NUH) and Institute for Molecular & Cellular Biology on studies involving the biology of ovarian epithelial cancers, as well as collaborations with the Institute of Medical Biology (A*STAR) on studies on the expression of HPV 16 E2 in cervical neoplasia. She was recently awarded a NUHS cross department collaborative grant for a research project on ovarian tumours. She has also been awarded a HMDP scholarship to undergo further subspecialty training in gynaecological pathology at the Department of Pathology, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in 2010.
