Associate Professor Thomas Choudary Putti is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Pathology, National University of Singapore, National University Hospital, National University Health System. He graduated from the Osmania University, Hyderabad, India in 1985 with M.B,B.S. He trained in Histopathology at the Department of Pathology, Osmania Medical College and obtained his specialist degree in pathology from the Osmania University, India in 1989. Subsequently he did his anatomic pathology residency from Long Island Jewish Medical Centre, New York and obtained his American Board Certification in 1997. He did a year of fellowship in Immunopathology from Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, New York from 1997-98.



He has been a fellow of College of American Pathologists since 1997 and a member of Singapore Society of Pathologists since 1998.



His research interests include fine needle aspiration biopsy of breast, immunohistochemistry and breast pathology. Associate Professor Putti is a reviewer on several regional/international journals, and has published over 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a co-author of a book “Nasopharyngeal Cancer-Multidisciplinary Management”.



He is Clinical Director of the Department of Pathology, NUHS and a member of Residency Review Committee for Pathology, Singapore.
