Dr Chew obtained her basic medical degree (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 2000. She was awarded the bronze medal from the Singapore Medical Association. She received her basic paediatric and neonatal training in Singapore and obtained her post graduate degrees in paediatrics - Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics and Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Children's Health(UK) in 2004. She currently practices as a Associate Consultant in the Department of Paediatrics, University Children's Medical Institute, National University Hospital. Her interests include paediatric emergency medicine and ambulatory paediatrics. She has done a short attachment at the Children's Hospital, Boston in paediatric emergency medicine and pediatric toxicology. She is also involved in research projects in the Children's Emergency concerning procedural analgesia. Currently she is doing her emergency fellowship at The Children's Hospital Westmead.
