Curriculum

The first year provides broad-based training, with rotations to internal medicine, surgery and paediatrics, leading to SMC accreditation. The next 2 years provide further in-depth training in general paediatrics as well as the various paediatric subspecialties. Residents are given progressive responsibility according to their increasing level of competence. Residents in the higher years of training would be expected to supervise junior residents and interact with students.

From year 2, each resident would be assigned his/ her own outpatients in a weekly continuity clinic that he/she would run under supervision of the same faculty member over the next 2 years of training.
