Overview

Message from the Program Director
The NUHS Otolaryngology Residency Program aims to train dedicated residents. Our faculty has a strong academic and research background, which enhances our program. Our team of specialists has undergone post-specialist training in North America and Europe in their sub-specialty fields. Our program curriculum gives a wide exposure to various aspects of otology, rhinology, head & neck surgery and pediatric otolaryngology. Residents in the program rotate to both NUH and JGH
The program provides residents with training in research skills and allocates a dedicated research rotation. Our faculty mentors them through a project of their choice. An elective period is catered for sub-specialty training and will allow residents to increase exposure in an area of their choice. This elective can be taken within NUHS or outside the cluster. An elective in a training hospital outside Singapore can be done, subject to the program director's approval. Medical education training is available to residents who aim to be clinician educators. Residents are involved in education in the NUS medical undergraduate program.
Our program is well balanced in providing clinical, surgical, research and academic training.
